Got the aquariums moved over the weekend. Wonder of wonder, there’s still some live fish despite the neglect they’ve gotten.
Haven’t done a full tank shot here for a long time.
My order finally came in and 15 new Red Cherry Shrimp are exploring the new digs. Hopefully there’s still 15 in the morning, they were delayed in Denver a day and the heat pack in the packaging was pretty dead…
With the “moonlight” on to keep the stress down.
I love those fish so much.
I found a rock out at my dam that was pretty close to the ones I bought at the fish store, so I broke it apart and put the pieces in. Took some moss out of the big tank and stuck it on the cholla wood, so there’s that now too. May just be time to transfer the shrimp.
The plants I ordered last week came in yesterday and so here I am with 2 real official aquariums now–and since the shrimp haven’t been transferred to the new tank yet there’s really 3. Because why bother with a hobby if you’re not going to let it suck out every last penny you might have had, even the ones hiding under your couch cushions?
Now to think about plants…
Just added some root fertilizer, so hopefully things will start growing faster now.
