Hallelujah

Couldn’t help it. After all, for today’s performance we will have about a 100 member-chorus, the city symphony, and four soloists (flown in from around the country[!]).

Christ is risen!

Today

Today will start with as much yard work I can fit in before 10:00, at which point I go to final rehearsal for the Messiah performance on Sunday.

Should be home before 4, at which point I will attempt to fit in as much yard work as I can before dark. Probably would have been better off skipping this year, life’s so crazy right now, but it’s such great music, and, hey, SDG.

Underappreciated

Supertramp is a favorite of mine, but I don’t think I’ve ever posted one of their songs…

I know, I know…

I’ve posted this before, but I’m on a big time Rush kick right now and it’s stuck in my head.

Snakes and Arrows is tied at second place with Clockwork Angels for “Favorite Rush Album.” First is Counterparts, which I think I’ve discussed before. Third is a three way tie between Vapor Trails (sound quality notwithstanding), 2112, and of course, Moving Pictures (I think every song on that album is on their “Greatest Hits” collection…).

Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris

My dad loved this album. We listened to it over and over back when it came out, but I haven’t since he died. Time to remedy that one…
