Looking at snow in the forecast is different when you live in the high desert

When you see this and go: “Finally! It’s going to try and be winter again!”

I mean, all due respect to our friends in the south, but the mountains here need the snow more than anyone needs the balmy weather, else no one will be taking baths next summer. We haven’t gotten any snow in almost a month, and with the warm weather we’ve had the past two weeks, it’s actually started to run off in the mountains. Which is Not A Good Thing when you’re still in the month of January.

Yep. Looking forward to some proper harsh winter weather.

Can you stand the weather if winter lasts forever?

  2. Yay-hooray for snow (and rain)! Winter has hardly yet made any impact.
